removing glitter nail varnish

i am a big glitter girl. if i could just cover myself in glitter 24/7 i would do, but sadly i don't think my school would be too pleased with me if i did. so for now i'll have to be content with super glittery nails instead. the only problem i have is that glitter nail varnish is a bugger to take off! i figuired some of you may have the same problem so i thought i would share with you how i remove mine.

you will need
nail polish remover
cotton wool
kitchen foil

1. gently soak the cotton wool in nail polish remover and place onto the nail, pressing down as you do so. be sure not to soak them too much though, you don't want it dripping all over you and making a mess!

2. take a small piece of foil and place it on top of the cotton wool wrapping it around your finger. this simply to hold the cotton wool in place so make it as tight as possible.

3. leave for around 5-10 minutes to allow it to soak. when removing push down on the cotton wool and pull off slowly.

this may sounds like it takes ages but trust me it is so much quicker than trying to do it like any other nail polish and getting annoyed at all the cotton wool getting stuck on the glitter on your nails.

is this the method you use? what tips have you got for removing glitter nail varnish?

  1. I keep meaning to try this method, but I generally just scrub with about a million cotton wool pads! daft really! You are so brave to stand outside in bare feet as this time of year!

  2. I use this technique aswell, it works so well! :)

  4. I never have to do this, mine just seems to come off as quick as normal :P

  5. @belledubrighton i hadn't even noticed you could see it until then! haha definitely try it. it works wonders!

@lucylou you're so lucky! i wish mine worked that well!

  6. Seriously the oldest trick in the book, but the best working! I use it every time works like a charm!
