collection 2000 lasting perfection foundation

quite a while before xmas now i misplaced my usual winter foundation which has made me super sad as it was one i love and will probably repurchase again at some point (revlon colourstay) but i thought i'd pick up something a little different to try and having loved the concealer of the same name (a review to come) i decided to give this a try from collection 2000.

the product is oil free with spf 20 and claims to give flawless coverage with 16 hour wear, as well as being transfer resistant. so not many things to live up to then..... needless to say i had high hopes for it.

| collection 2000 lasting perfection foundation- £5.99 superdrug/boots |

one of the things that made me pick this over all the others was the packaging. the frosted glass bottle and pump make the product seem far more expensive than it is and is also far more practical for use. the glass makes the product appear far more sturdy, i find plastic bottle tend to get damaged in my ever bulging make-up bag.
there was a good selection of shades available in my local superdrug and boots. the one i chose is prehaps slightly too yellow toned for my skin but once applied it is barely noticeable. i've heard from many others that the shades available for paler skin tones are some of the best on the market so worth a look if you fall into that category.

application is easy at the product is not too thick or too runny. it does however, dry super quick onto the skin so it needs to be quickly transfered from the hand onto the face. i tend to use my fingers for application which in this case it is wonderful for. i found that when i used my elf foundation brush it didn't give quite the same flawless finish my fingers did and sometimes even became quite streaky. (this may simply be down to my application method so please not me know if you had the same issue.)

the product feels lovely on the skin. not thick and cakey as i expected given the 16 hour claims. in fact most of the time i forget i'm even wearing it which is exactly what i hope for in any skin product! it lasts for ages and the medium-heavy coverage is perfect for concealing blemishes and my excedingly large pores. the finish is slightly dewey, great if you want to have that no make-up look but easily fixed by a bit of powder.

i actually love this product so much i bought it for my mama for xmas as she was in need of a new foundation and she loves it equally as much as i do! i'd like to think i would repurchse this but foundation is the sort of thing i always seem to buy new ones of, so if i do repurchase it will be a clear sign of how amazing it is!
